Findings at the site

In 1962 when my father built the garage the are located north at the premises, where an old house is indicated at the maps from 1801 and 1820. I found some old coins in the dirt dug out during the the excavation for the fundaments.

The coins are Danish Shillings dated in 1779, 1788 og 1800

We can se from the alloy the King of Denmark's economics has been influenced by the costly Napoleonic wars, and that silver and copper is no more used make to coins. The last one from 1800 is made of iron.
