Genealogy
This and the following pages are about the the Sørensen
family and their roots. I have chosen to present the family
history three ways.
One branch is related to the the family home at Brønngata
6 at Langestrand. A building that has been in the family
since 1711.
The Family tree covers the ancestors going back to Ole
Anunsøn at Tvedalen in Brunlanes and to Tyge Andersen of
Brønngata and their related families.
The name Røsserne is from the farm of my four times great
grand mother Sara Jacobsdatter Røsserød. This farms is
situated in Brunlanes about 10 minutes drive from my home.
The three other farms are related to my mothers side of
the family and they are located in the old communities of
Tjølling, Sandar and Lardal. Tjølling has has
been annexed by Larvik and Sandar is now a part of Sandefjord.
